This direct-hire roleis perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and confidently knows how to manage complex legal documentation and case files. The ideal candidate brings 3 years of recent US law firm experience while supporting multiple busy defense attorneys in product liability litigation (asbestos/medical devices). Key Responsibilities: Support defense attorneys in preparing cases by drafting and reviewing legal documents. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are current and accessible. Conduct thorough legal research to aid in case strategy development and trial preparation. Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties. Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. Review attorney billable time using billing software and submit expense reports. Highly administrative with a blend of paralegal duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3 years of experience in a litigation defense support role, preferably in product liability. 3 years of experience in e-filing with Odyssey and PACER is required Paralegal Certificate is not required, but it is nice to have (or an equivalent degree.) Proficient in legal research tools, case management and billing software, and transcription. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities; typing speed of 55 WPM is required. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 1-day of hybrid/remote WFH is permitted after 90 days of successful onboarding (4 days of onsite work required). No overtime. No weekends Technology and Tools: Experience with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint). Familiarity with case management software (NetDocs). Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
