COOK AIDE (MSHS - Seasonal Full-Time) Twin Falls

Description:

Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Reports to: COOK
"This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in March/April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period."

Year around employment Season may begin in MAY and run through JANUARY. With some downtime
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
* Assist in preparation and cooking meals in compliance with the 6-week cycle menu and other applicable local, state, and federal standards.
* Assist in ensuring compliance with food preparation and applicable sanitation standards and state regulations.
* Assist in maintaining all food item receipts, menu production records and meal counts.
* Knowledge and ability to safely operate kitchen and food preparation equipment and tools.
* Assist with local food purchases.
* Assist in maintaining and ensuring adequate inventory of kitchen supplies, food, and equipment.
* Ability to measure ingredients, follow recipes, and perform basic mathematical functions.
* Follow dietary guidelines and individualized meal plans.
* Assist with food delivery to classrooms.
* Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
* Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Qualifications
Required
* Must obtain Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire
* Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
* Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance
* Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis
* Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification
Preferred
* High School Diploma or GED
* Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting
* One to three months with related experience or training
* Basic computer skills
Required Physical Demands
* Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; to reach with hands and arms; to climb or balance; and smell
* The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Work Environment
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, and fumes or airborne particles; exposed to hazards of traffic; the noise level is usually moderate

* First year of service - 16 hours up front and then accrues up to 5 PTO days each year.
* After 3 years of service - 16 hours up front and then accrue up to 8 PTO days each year
