Major Responsibilities:
Focused work on individual population streams and/ or highly complex specific initiatives:
Manage projects from inception to completion through QI science methodology documentation including: Project charters, PDSA cycles, Key Driver Diagrams, GEMBAs, Run Charts and Paretos
Complete data analysis for projects to determine progress and if SMART aims are achieved or root causes of performance
Lead multidisciplinary teams to complete project tasks
Recommend appropriate resolutions
Define performance and results and assist management with vendors and service providers
Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Able to define direction of complex work for self and others with minimal oversight and direction
Self-directed, independent and track record of initiation and coordination for complex topics
Apply and coach others to apply QI science methodology and tools (e.g., IHI model, PDSA) to drive quality across multiple populations
Lead the process improvement projects according to the contract requirements and conduct project writing, analysis and develop strategies for improvement
Recommend and evaluate project results and anticipate appropriate course of action
Work with the health plan departments to coordinate appropriate process improvement initiatives
Communicate Quality data and information in writing or verbally
Participate in the implementation of any required newly developed health initiatives
Other projects and/or outreach as assigned
Comfortable working through ambiguity toward clarity
Define performance, results and management of whole populations to include resources which are external to United (ie, providers, community based organizations, and third-party vendors)
Provide direction and performance feedback to the teams engaged with population health work

Demonstrated understanding of quality theory, data collection, analysis, and study design; ability to track and display performance

Ensure work is meeting regulatory requirements
Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to multiple audiences
Lead and conduct business process analysis (using IHI frameworks) to diagnose process improvement opportunities and to develop and test re-usable and spreadable solutions
Identify root causes of substandard project outcomes and recommend appropriate actions

Required Qualifications:
4+ year's healthcare experience or other relevant experience
1+ years of relevant work experience in project management, consulting, health care, or QI
Experience composing process improvement projects and skilled at writing, grammar and qualitative/quantitative analysis
Project management and/or program oversight experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications:
IHI certificate or Lean background
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar Certification
Health care experience
Experience with HEDIS and NCQA
Experience working with Medicare and Medicaid populations
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Intermediate problem solving and analytical and skills
Ability to influence and work with a wide range of internal stakeholders/resources to move projects and programs forward and overcome any challenges
Advanced communication skills both written and verbal

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
