Job Description: The Mechanic I position at Lamb Weston through Bounty Jobs is a crucial role within our organization. As part of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, monitoring, maintaining, modifying, and changing over production line equipment. This role involves fabricating, testing, and adjusting machine parts according to blueprints, drawings, plans, and schematics for various types of production equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will support all departments and report to the Maintenance Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Report to the Team Leader at the start of each shift for instructions, schedules, and daily assignments.
Monitor assigned production line, troubleshoot equipment, including conveyors, lifts, palletizers, PLC's, switches, electric eyes, rails, grids, motors, etc.
Replace, repair, adjust, and modify electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as needed.
Perform basic welding and machining tasks, read blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Assist with line changeovers as needed.
Order parts and supplies for repairs, compile run packets, and maintain parts inventory.
Test and adjust parts, assemblies, equipment, and systems for proper operation, recording all modifications.
Assist specialists with equipment repair, maintenance, rebuilding, and installation.
Collaborate with other trades for repairs, replacements, adjustments, and modifications as directed.
Secure all equipment at the end of the shift, perform general housekeeping duties, and maintain work records on the computerized Maintenance system.
Work closely with the Maintenance Team Leader to achieve department goals.
Ability to work scheduled assigned times and required overtime.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED.
3-5 years of experience in the mechanical/electrical field.
Capable of replacing, repairing, adjusting, and modifying electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Basic computer skills.
Perform basic welding and machining tasks, as well as read blueprints, drawings, and plans.
