Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that meet current and future business needs, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply continuity.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assess capabilities, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address issues to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, quality assurance) to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the sourcing process.
  • Maintain procurement records, including contracts, supplier evaluations, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.

Position Specifications / Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.
  • Required: 10 years of in-depth experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with experience in supply chain management. Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems and e-sourcing platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and attend industry events.
