POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Plant Quality Operations Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:
A well-established manufacturing facility is hiring a Plant Quality Operations Manager to oversee site-level quality and sanitation programs. This leadership role is responsible for compliance with regulatory, internal, and third-party standards while driving food safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure plant-wide compliance with all food safety and quality regulations
Supervise and develop a team of quality and sanitation professionals
Lead HACCP, food defense, and pre-requisite programs
Coordinate and respond to internal and external audits
Implement and sustain quality KPIs and improvement initiatives
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) plans
Facilitate monthly quality reviews with plant leadership
Oversee customer complaint resolution and continuous improvement activities
Lead Quality Pillar efforts under Integrated Lean Six Sigma methodology
Support deployment of Consumer Inspired Quality and Sensory programs
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Plant Quality Operations Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Plant Quality Operations Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
7+ years in Quality in food or pharma manufacturing
5+ years in a plant-level leadership capacity
Deep understanding of sanitation, food safety, and audit readiness
Strong background in compliance systems, HACCP, and food defense
Experience with GFSI programs (FSSC, Organic, Kosher, Rainforest Alliance)
