Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a nonprofit health care organization whose mission is to provide exceptional health care to people facing access barriers through clinical programs and education. Compensation (Pay): $16.00 to $23.20 /hour, based on experience.

Responsible for providing excellent, compassionate, and empathetic customer service to our patients. Performs a variety of enrollment and insurance screening functions with the objective of determining eligibility for medical coverage according to the terms of numerous state and assistance programs. Job duties include new patient enrollment, processing sliding fee applications, and reviewing all paperwork and eligibility with each patient.
There are four separate functions performed by Enrollment Services Specialists: Greeters, Navigators, Technicians, and the Phone Team. Enrollment staff transition through these different functions as business needs require. Greeters are responsible for assessing the needs of the individuals and providing patient intake functions such as forms and documentation collection. Navigators work with patients to complete documentation and prepare the patient for an eligibility screening with a technician, manage technician schedules and reconcile application counts. Technicians complete eligibility applications with patients and guide patients through the insurance exchange process. The Phone Team answers calls regarding patient coverage status, payer contract, and billing questions; they also make appointments and register patients to practice management systems.

Education/Experience:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.
Work Experience: Six months customer service experience preferred. Spanish bilingual required.
Computer Skills: Basic ability to access the intranet/internet to manage timecard, review policies and procedures, and read company communications; use e-mail to communicate with co-workers, leadership, and other departments; enter and correct data, modify a workbook, format a worksheet, and use printing functions; create a simple presentation in PowerPoint, run it, and print it.
Certificates and Licenses: CPR Certification to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
