Overview

The Idaho Youth Ranch has been helping at-risk youth on a dangerous path find promising futures for more than 60 years, with youth programs and services through the state. We offer emergency shelter, residential care, substance abuse treatment, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more. With a statewide network of thrift stores, we support kids and families through donations and affordable items for sale.

What Will You Be Doing

• Support staff with routine product rotations to keep inventory fresh, including moving carts, stocking shelves, and pulling items.
• Assist in collecting and categorizing donations.
• Enhance customer service by warmly greeting and assisting shoppers.
• Apply knowledge of categories (home goods, clothing, shoes, accessories, books) to assist with pricing.
• Keep shelves and racks clean, organized, and visually appealing.

• Youre a natural with people, friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. You thrive in a customer-focused environment and have a keen eye for color and display organization, contributing to a visually appealing thrift store experience.

Volunteer Requirements

• Be at least 13 years old.
• Submit an application.
• Submit to a general criminal background check.
• Complete an interview.
• Comply with all Idaho Youth Ranch Volunteer Policies and Procedures.
