WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Lead Person provides directions for the sanitation crew within a certain area of the plant. This position is trained in multiple jobs, can assist the training team members, and provide support as requested by the supervisor in that area. Job duties include:

• Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant. Meet with the Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed, including missing or damaged parts and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
• Ensure team members in assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA standards. Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections.
• Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
• Monitor and provide personal protective equipment ("PPE").
• Other duties as assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

Must be 18 years of age or older. Leadership and decision making skills are required. 6 or more months of experience in sanitation and/or food processing industry. Ability to take direction and instruction from manager and be accountable for own actions. Safety awareness and attention to detail. Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

This position would involve you to be in a wet, hot, and or cold environment, while wearing Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE"). Shift may vary depending on location.

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES/ LABORES DEL TRABAJO

Para realizar este trabajo de manera exitosa, un individuo debe ser capaz de realizar cada funcin esencial de manera satisfactoria.

• Trabajo de forma cooperativa con la gerencia de Fortrex, los miembros del equipo, los clientes y las agencias reguladoras para asegurarse que los procedimientos de saneamiento se estn siguiendo.
• Mantener comunicaciones abiertas con todos los miembros del equipo en la planta. Reunirse con el supervisor de manera regular para asegurarse que todos los inconvenientes estn siendo tratados y presentados de manera adecuada, incluyendo partes y equipo perdido o daado.
• Limpiar y desinfectar equipo y espacios de trabajo en un rea designada de la planta.
• Asegurarse que los miembros del equipo en reas designadas estn completando sus labores de trabajo y los estndares de la USDA. Inspeccionar el equipo para asegurarse que todas las reas estn limpias para las inspecciones de la pre-apertura.
• Manejar qumicos para asegurarse que el uso est dentro de los lmites especficos.
• Monitorear y proveer PPE.
• Otras tareas que sean asignadas.

CUALIFICACIONES PREFERIDAS

Esta posicin requiere de cumplimiento con las polticas y los procedimientos de la compaa. Metas y expectativas especficas sern establecidas en una base anual y sern continuamente medidas en las siguientes categoras:

• Reduccin en los incidentes de compensacin laboral.
• Reduccin o eliminacin de retraso y dao.
• Precisin y puntualidad en el inventario de suministros y qumicos.
• Reduccin en la prdida de los miembros del equipo.
• Satisfactoria participacin de tercera parte en las auditorias.

COMPETENCIAS Y HABILIDADES

Esta posicin requiere de habilidades de liderazgo, toma de decisiones, conocimiento de seguridad y resolucin de conflictos. La posicin requiere atributos de integridad, honestidad, iniciativa y enfoque en el cliente.

CUALIFICACIONES- EDUCACIN Y EXPERIENCIA

6 meses a un ao en saneamiento/ en la industria de procesamiento de comida. Debido a la naturaleza de este trabajo. Usted debe tener 18 aos o ms para aplicar.

Mojado, caliente, frio, usualmente segundo y tercer turno.
