Description:We are looking for a security analyst to focus on items like incident response, security-related requests, procedure optimization. Since we're a smaller team, this individual can help / participate in a wide variety of tasks as their skillset allows, such as security engineering, threat hunting, etc.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This role will have an opportunity to be part of a team that performs a variety of security-related activities, including incident response, security assessments, improving security monitoring, and overseeing remediation activities. Additionally, this role provides you with an opportunity to have a direct influence on the organization's ongoing security strategy and roadmap.• Vigilantly monitor security alerts for suspicious activities that may indicate intrusion attempts.• Follow and assist with improving incident response plan and playbooks.• Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the company's control requirements manual or related documentation.• Perform occasional IT process audits, such as SOX-related activities.• Identify, implement, and maintain security automation opportunities.• Provide security consultation and guidance to the organization as appropriate.• Collaborate with users to discuss computer data access needs, identify security threats and violations, and identify and recommend needed programming or process changes.• Review violations of security procedures; provide training to ensure violations do not recur.• Perform risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures.• Safeguard system security, train users and promote security awareness.• Identify and report any weaknesses in the existing protocols, recommending modifications and improvements.• Manage security tools, such as our privileged password management platform.• Other related duties as assigned.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:• A minimum of three to five years of IT or information security experience, with at least one year of security-related experience.• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Proficient in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Visio.• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Flexibility to work occasionally outside business hours to support security incident response, project work, or maintenance window activities.• Experience with monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents.• A technical understanding of IT networks, server administration, and IT applications.• Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, various security software applications and tools.• Thorough understanding of computer-related security systems such as firewalls, encryption, and password protection and authentication.• Excellent organizational skills and analytic, problem-solving skills.• Impeccable confidentiality, attention to detail, and self-organization.• Self-directed and motivated with a positive and willing attitude.Skills:Security, Information security, incident response, threat hunting, Azure Sentinel, Microsoft ATP, DefenderAbout TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
