TIG Welder

This position is for an experienced, hands-on manufacturing professional, who will primarily function as a welding and fabrication team member to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality output in welding and fabrication. The position is responsible for activities such as welding, fabrication, assembly, quality assurance, meeting due dates, safety, equipment maintenance and all other normal shop activities. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and team skills to ensure an efficient and quality minded operation. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • TIG welding and fabricating of stainless steel to food grade standards
  • Fabricate sheet metal
  • Weld pipe carbon and stainless
  • Collaborating with other team members in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Review your work in process and finished products to ensure accuracy to the print
  • Follow production schedules and priorities as assigned
  • Ensure timelines are met
  • Follow processes and procedures
  • Maintain a fabrication area that is clean, organized, and well maintained
  • Ensure machinery, tools, and equipment are in good working order
  • Follow production plans to ensure goals and project delivery dates are met
  • Produce quality products while assisting with problems as they arise
  • Participate in safety meetings and remain safety minded at all times
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in metal welding/fabrication shop environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
  • Reliable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and drawings
  • Metal fabrication and layout understanding
  • Maintain shop upkeep, organization, tooling, equipment, and cleanliness
  • Experience in fab welding, assembly of conveyor systems, and troubleshooting
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail
  • Willing to travel and work overtime as needed

Physical Demands and Abilities:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Frequent standing for long periods of time
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks

Work Environment:

  • This job operated in a typical fabrication shop environment.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
  • Power tools, including saws, and forklifts, are also frequently used.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a 40-hour work week with the potential of some paid overtime. This position is located in our shop at 359 W 100 S Paul, Idaho.
