Summary
O'Leary Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lunch Aide. This part-time position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable lunch experience for our students. The ideal candidate will be friendly, responsible, and able to work collaboratively with staff and students in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lunch periods to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Monitor student behavior and address any issues or conflicts that arise during lunchtime.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the lunch area, including cleaning tables and disposing of waste.
- Support students with special needs as required, providing assistance and encouragement.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students to promote a positive lunchtime atmosphere.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards students.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Availability during school lunch hours, typically from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Mondays and 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM Tuesday through Friday.

This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment "at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.

All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
