Position Overview
Account Executive are responsible for increasing market share and sales/profit growth for STI. The primary targets of this selling function are assigned accounts- contracting companies who install residential/commercial landscape, irrigation systems, lighting systems, water gardens, drainage systems, and fountains.
What You'll Do
• Proactively sell and service key accounts by identifying customer needs and promoting STI products, services, and benefits to residential and commercial companies
• Seek out new contractor customers and develop them into STI customers
• Searching for and discovering new projects that will need STI products and sharing that information in a timely manner with STI certified contractors
• Educate customer groups in the technical and business aspects of our products and our industry
• Training installation employees on our customers on the features, benefits, operation, and service of all STI products
• Coordinating and exchanging sales, project, and customer service information weekly with local STI branch staff in continuous effort to provide unequalled customer service, convenience, and sales growth
• Work in conjunction with branch managers to coordinate sales and customer development
• Make presentations to customers as needed
Skills We Are Seeking
• Minimum of 2 years' experience selling
• Experience selling in the landscape products industry is a plus
• Knowledge of landscape products, power equipment and related parts is highly preferred
• Must have excellent selling, written and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Must be good with people, extremely tactful and professional
• Must maintain annual manufacturer training requirements
• Must live within the designated responsible territory
• Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that meets insurance standards
• Proficient in Microsoft products
