Open Roles:

Primary Casualty Underwriter

Excess Casualty Underwriter

Our client is actively expanding its Casualty platform and is hiring both Primary Casualty and Excess Casualty Underwriters to support continued growth.

Casualty Platform Overview

  • 18 underwriters currently across Primary and Excess Casualty
  • Separate Primary and Excess teams, both reporting into the Head of Brokerage Casualty
  • Focus on small to middle market risks
  • Target industries include construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and select habitational exposures
Portfolio Profile
  • Primary Casualty:
  • Average account size: $50K-$75K
  • Excess Casualty (unsupported):
  • Average account size: $75K-$100K
Distribution Model
  • Purposefully limited distribution to top-tier wholesale brokers
  • Current partners include large national wholesale platforms
  • Broader distribution expansion planned as the company scales
Growth & Opportunity
  • $80M in written premium in 2025 , exceeding the initial $60M target
  • 2026 goal is to double the book , creating strong demand for additional underwriting talent
