Overview:

The Quality Control Administrator is a vital member of the project team, reporting to the site Quality Manager or Sr. Quality Field Operations Manager and indirectly to the Sr. Manager of Quality Control. This role involves compiling and managing documentation that demonstrates compliance with project specifications, ensuring that every detail aligns with the highest quality standards.

TRAVEL:

This position requires travel up to 100% and necessitates your presence directly at the Project Site in Boise, ID.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and manage digital records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Update isometric drawings, including identification and inspection details using digital tools.
  • Organize inspection records for clear traceability to their field locations.
  • Verify the accuracy and integrity of all inspection documentation.
  • Match Nondestructive Examination (NDE) records with relevant welding documents.
  • Maintain comprehensive Quality and Inspection logs, including Weld Logs.
  • Ensure calibration records conform to inspection standards.
  • Mentor team members on the importance of accurate documentation.
  • Utilize multiple platforms to effectively organize digital records.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare organized paper records for project turnover as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism in demeanor and appearance.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a QA/QC role; education towards an engineering or technical degree may substitute for work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a construction environment.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs and system breakdowns related to turnover packages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with weld mapping and traceability on Industrial or Oil and Gas projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with construction management software.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam Revu; experience with Smartsheet and InEight is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Understanding of health and safety protocols in construction.
  • Comprehension of construction inspection requirements in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to interpret various construction drawings and documents.
  • Ability to read and assess NDE reports, weld maps, and Material Test Reports (MTRs).
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of document management processes.
  • A keen attention to detail for compiling turnover records.
  • Ability to maintain focus during extended periods of documentation review.
  • Capability to understand material specs on MTRs and BOMs.
  • Proficient in reading isometric drawings.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Work in varying environmental conditions; exposure to weather elements.
  • May involve moderate exposure to unusual elements like temperatures and dust.

  • Capacity to evaluate information based on measurable standards.
  • Ability to visualize objects in three dimensions from documents.
