Overview

This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in Camp Hill, PA. Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule is three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring a Payroll Manager to join our Accounting team! This position is responsible for managing payroll operations for North America. This role oversees all US and Canada payroll functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. The Payroll Manager will play a key role in ensuring payroll integrity, reviewing and strengthening controls, and striving for continuous improvement across all payroll processes. This position has two direct reports and oversees a team of nine individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, including both on and off cycles
  • Coordinate with the HR and IS&T teams to ensure compliance with state and federal payroll laws
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and auditor requests
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, providing guidance and expertise as well as ensuring best practices are applied consistently
  • Develop and maintain payroll documentation and process improvements
  • Lead payroll projects, including system enhancements and upgrades
  • Review, test, and approve changes/updates to payroll systems
  • Assist direct reports, provide them with support, and become proficient in their work to serve as a backup on their responsibilities
  • Partner with external payroll providers
  • Must be able to analyze data and make observations
  • Lead and direct associates
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, divisions, and staff
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field and/or equivalent/education work experinece
  • Experience with Canadian payroll is a plus
  • Experience working on cross functional teams, multitasking, and managing time independently with little direction
  • Experience managing associates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word)
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to achieve targeted objectives
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of PeopleSoft and running PeopleSoft queries
  • Excellent communication skills
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with associates at all levels, including senior executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000 - $110000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
