Job Description

Our Client is seeking an experienced, full-time, on-site Candidate with skills and expertise as described below.

Responsibilities:

• Support migrating legacy Microsoft Access Applications to Microsoft SQL Server.
• Support roughly a dozen IT-supported Access applications built over the last 20 years, some of which support mission-critical functions and face compatibility issues with newer Access versions.
• Handle front-end and back-end separation, migrating backends to SQL Server and updating front ends accordingly.
• Modify VBA code for database structure changes and compatibility with Office versions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other development staff.
• Work with the app hosting team to optimize Access database setup on virtual desktops.
• Report to the IT Supervisor and coordinate with Business staff for testing and validation.
• Document all implemented changes.

Applicants should demonstrate experience in converting Access databases to SQL Server, work well in a team, and possess excellent communication skills.
