Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as a Security Aid at Canyon Ridge High School. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This full-time position involves monitoring the premises, enforcing school policies, and collaborating with school officials to ensure a positive educational atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Monitor school grounds and facilities to ensure the safety and security of all individuals on campus.
- Conduct regular patrols of the school premises, including hallways, parking lots, and entrances.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, providing assistance as needed.
- Enforce school policies and procedures, addressing any violations in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with school administration, law enforcement, and emergency services as necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Provide support during school events, ensuring safety measures are in place.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and actions taken.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to promote a safe school environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities related to school safety and security.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse population.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a background check and meet any other state or local requirements for school security personnel.

This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment "at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.

All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
