De-boning Line

Personnel Plus of Twin Falls is hiring for a chuck boner position in Jerome Idaho.

• Full Time
• 5 days a week
• 40+ hours a week
• Pay rate of $17
• Weekly Bonus for perfect attendance

Job Description: removing bones, such as chuck ribs and vertebrae, from standard cuts of meat such as chucks, ham, loins, plates, rounds, and shanks to prepare meat for packing and marketing, using knives and meat hooks.

Responsibilities:

• Change clothing upon arrival at work putting on rubber boots, hair nets, hard hat, gloves, insulated long coat, Safety Glasses
• Retrieve appropriate work tools, knives, t handle hooks, steel and scabbard.
• Report to work line
• Pull meat product from conveyor belt using hook
• Remove arm bone, pectoral, and chuck short rib
• Return meat cuts to conveyor belt
• Push waste fat into chute
• Maintain cutting edge on knife with steel

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• ability to frequently able to push, pull, lift up to 35 lbs on a regular to constant basis
• Ability to stand throughout entire shift 8+ hours
• Dexterity to handle knives, meat hooks, and steel to sharpen knives.
• Ability to work in cold environments

Qualifications:

• Must be able to understand, speak, read, write in English or Spanish
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be legally Authorized to work within the United Stated

Pay: $17

Schedule: 8 hour shifts with scheduled over time hours

Education: High School or Equivalent (preferred)

Ability to Commute/Relocate: Jerome, ID 83338 (Required)
