CDL-A Ditch Runner

Personnel Plus, Inc Twin Falls is NOW hireing a CDL Ditch Runner in Jerome Idaho.

Ditch Rider manages a portion of the canal system and makes adjustments to canal flows and individual head gates in the course of delivering irrigation water to farm fields.

Core Responsibilities

• Water Management: Controlling, regulating, and monitoring the flow of water in irrigation ditches, canals, and pipes.
• System Maintenance: Cleaning, dredging, and repairing ditches, culverts, and drainage structures to ensure proper water flow.
• Equipment Operation: Operating dump trucks (requiring a CDL), backhoes, tractors with mowers, excavators, and "ditch witch" trenchers.
• Infrastructure Inspection: Patrolling canal systems to identify leaks, debris blockages, damage, or vegetation overgrowth.
• Manual Labor: Performing tasks such as shoveling, installing pipe, repairing head gates, and removing debris.
• Documentation: Keeping daily logs of water usage, maintenance performed, and equipment inspections.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid CDL
• Have a clean driving record
• Must be physically fit enough to complete all tasks required
• Complete work to high standards with limited supervision independently and with a team.
• Work in a safe manner to protect self and others.
