responsibilities:
- Perform independent and efficient medical reviews of complex advertising, promotional, and sales training materials across multiple product indications.
- Ensure all deliverables convey a clear, accurate medical message in compliance with established policies, practice standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Critically evaluate scientific literature and interpret complex data to provide a clear rationale for review decisions to Commercial and Medical teams.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of product labeling, disease states, treatment guidelines, and competitor landscapes within the assigned therapeutic area.
- Collaborate and negotiate effectively with cross-functional partners to resolve high-risk or complex issues with legal or regulatory implications.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide internal stakeholders with up-to-date clinical information necessary for impactful business decisions.
- Identify potential risks in promotional messaging and implement strategies to mitigate safety or compliance concerns.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience - Education: Graduation from an accredited Nursing, PA, or Pharmacy program, or a PhD in Health Sciences.
- Medical Review: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated Medical Review experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting.
- Systems: Demonstrated experience reviewing materials within Veeva PromoMats and/or MedComms.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong ability to independently interpret complex clinical data and articulate scientific rationale to non-medical audiences.
Preferred Skills & Experience - Therapeutic Area: Direct experience in Oncology is highly preferred.
- Experience: 6 years of combined clinical practice, postgraduate training, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Background: 4 years of specific work experience in Medical Communications or Medical Affairs.
- Licensure: Active professional licensure relevant to your field (RN, PharmD, etc.).
