Senior Epic Professional Billing (PB) Application Analyst

Fairview is seeking a Senior Epic Professional Billing (PB) Application Analyst to support and enhance Epic billing systems across the organization. This fully remote role focuses on Epic PB configuration, optimization, testing, and ongoing production support within a complex healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate brings Epic Professional Billing certification, deep experience in healthcare revenue cycle workflows, and a passion for improving system performance and patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities

Epic Application Configuration & Support

• Configure, test, and maintain Epic Professional Billing (PB) applications
• Translate business and revenue cycle requirements into system specifications
• Lead integrated and unit testing efforts across Epic PB workflows

Workflow, SDLC & Optimization

• Support full SDLC including design, build, testing, deployment, and production support
• Analyze workflows to optimize billing accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Lead root-cause analysis for production issues and system failures

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with revenue cycle, clinical, and IT stakeholders
• Mentor junior analysts and share Epic best practices
• Serve as subject matter expert for Epic Professional Billing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and related work experience
• Epic Professional Billing Certification and 5 years of IT Epic PB application experience
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC)
• Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process development or problem resolution
• Demonstrated working knowledge and expertise of healthcare processes and application system coordination
• Demonstrated knowledge of database structure and working practice of reporting techniques and tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT field
• Experience within the Healthcare Industry
• Certifications and experience relative to the role
• Epic Certification in Hospital Billing / PB Claims / HB Claims would be ideal.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
