The Senior Electrical / Automation Maintenance Engineer is a hands-on technical leader responsible for diagnosing automation failures, optimizing control systems, commissioning new equipment, and improving operational performance in demanding industrial environments. This role focuses on advanced PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, machine commissioning, and automation-driven process improvements that increase production uptime and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced PLC programming and troubleshooting using Siemens and Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) platforms.
Design, modify, and optimize HMI systems to improve operational visibility and performance.
Commission automated systems and production equipment to support operational efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis to resolve recurring electrical and control system failures.
Diagnose electrical system issues in high-demand industrial environments.
Implement automation-driven improvements that increase system uptime and production throughput.
Maintain safety compliance and ensure control system integrity.
Troubleshoot and modify electrical schematics when required.
Improve plant reliability by identifying automation opportunities and implementing system enhancements.
Required Experience:
5 years of industrial automation experience.
Deep experience with Siemens and Rockwell Automation PLC platforms.
Strong experience with HMI configuration and troubleshooting.
Expert-level electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience commissioning automated machines and production systems.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience in aggregate or mining operations.
Experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
Experience using AutoCAD Electrical for electrical schematics.
Demonstrated success reducing downtime and improving reliability metrics.
