Description:

Our client, a leader in the nuclear power industry, is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their team. As a Software Engineer III, you will be part of the I&C Engineering department supporting the development of critical embedded software solutions for nuclear power plant systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Software Engineer III Location: Wilmington, NC (On-site required; remote work not available) What's the Job? Develop software solutions based on technical requirements for I&C systems in nuclear power plants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance software functionality and performance. Prepare detailed design specifications, develop, and test software modules, perform hardware-in-the-loop testing, and document all development activities. Conduct code reviews to ensure software quality and adherence to industry standards. Maintain compliance with development standards, best practices, and safety protocols. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development, including proficiency in C programming languages and development tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and safety. Experience with coding conventions, code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing. Willingness to work onsite in Wilmington, NC periodically, including at least one week per month, with some occasions requiring two consecutive weeks. What's in it for me?
