Details Inpatient rehabilitation and acute inpatient setting at a Level III trauma hospital OT travelers are primarily based in acute inpatient or rehab but are expected to cross-cover between both areas, with potential ICU coverage depending on experience and need Patient caseload of approximately 10–12 patients per day Common diagnoses include orthopedic/total joints, neurological conditions (strokes, occasional brain injuries), medical cases, and general ICU 8-hour day shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) 4x10 schedule with rotating weekend requirements and holiday coverage as needed Epic EMR is used in this position No self-scheduling; no blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted Travelers should plan for M–F 8-hour shifts during the initial onboarding/orientation period Requirements Active OT license required (license required if applicable); pending licensure will not be accepted Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting Current BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted Epic EMR experience preferred Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this position Candidates with less than 1 year of acute care experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis if deemed capable Department is supported by rehab aides (no COTAs on staff) A manager is present on each shift Orientation typically consists of 2–3 days of department-specific training Scrubs are permitted; colors must not match those of other departments — specific color restrictions are provided upon hire Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment No RTO or blocked scheduling requests will be accepted for this assignment American Traveler Job ID P-713648.
