We are hiring Maintenance Mechanics for the new True West Beef processing facility in Jerome, Idaho. This role is a member of the True West Beef Maintenance Team, which is essential in keeping the production facility running smoothly so we can produce as much exceptional beef as possible.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components, which may include the following: electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and conveyor maintenanceRepair and sustain the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment to ensure machinery maintains continuous productionRespond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified; communicate with production management and team members to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problemsSet up, adjust, and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is requiredInterpret drawings of equipment to properly adjust, maintain and/or repair machineryConduct regular visual inspections of production equipment; identify parts or machines needing new or replacement partsPerform preventive maintenance; run tests to ensure that equipment is operating properlyIdentify operational inefficiencies and makes recommendations for improvementComplete all maintenance functions in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures, policies, and safety regulationsKeep management informed of area activities and of any significant equipment problemsEnsure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintainedStay informed of maintenance requirementsComplete special projects as neededMaintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basisPerform other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failuresMust be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safelyMust have basic computer skillsMust be available to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and be available for overtimeEXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:Minimum of one (1) year of industrial maintenance experience preferredCome MEAT Us!We grew up here.
