The CCR Corrections Coordinator provides organization for the program's activities serving justice involved individuals at the Twin Falls Community Re-Entry Center (CRC), and other facilities throughout the Magic Valley.
Essential functions include promoting educational opportunities for justice-involved individuals at the CRC, both onsite and offsite, overseeing current CRC classes, developing other CRC classes, coordinating/proctoring GED testing for incarcerated individuals, participating in Re-Connect events, and teaching classes as needed.
Specific skills preferred/required include excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to work with an incarcerated population in a courteous, supportive, and respectful manner, ability to maintain confidentiality, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Technical expertise preferred/required includes understanding and efficiently navigating frequently used testing applications, acquiring and maintaining certification to administer program assessments, acquiring and maintaining volunteer status with the CRC to comply with CR policies in working with an incarcerated population, having a basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite of programs, and having sufficient computer competency to troubleshoot technological problems.
Education/training preferred/required includes an associate degree and experience working with justice-involved adults.
