EHS Coordinator Night Shift

Under the supervision of the EHS Manager or EHS Supervisor, the EHS Coordinator is responsible to ensure the company and its employees are adhering to local, state and federal Environmental, Health and Safety regulations as well as all applicable Chobani policies and site procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Chobani EHS Department in assigned workload.
  • Supporting each department to maintain compliance with applicable regulations consistent with company EHS standards and federal, state and local regulations.
  • Reviewing and supporting non-routine risk assessments to ensure safe working practices.
  • Ensuring that the Safety Training Tracking System (Success Factors) is kept up to date including assignment profiles and training tracking reports for assigned programs.
  • Scheduling and leading training activities aimed at compliance with regulatory and company EHS standards with the ability to work various shifts occasionally to deliver training as assigned.
  • Conducting regulatory/compliance driven inspections/audits for a variety of EHS programs.
  • Overseeing Confined Space Monitors and cart to ensure functionality.
  • Working directly with all levels of Chobani employees to address safety concerns.
  • Monitoring department-specific safety metrics and dashboards.
  • Collecting, documenting, auditing, and prioritizing feedback from the Near Miss Program.
  • Supporting the site EHS team, conducting EHS investigations and supporting site reporting.
  • Maintaining all safety and environmental documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting the onsite Occupational Health Specialist, maintaining a First Responder CPR/AED Certification and responding to site injuries.
  • Working productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.
  • Maintaining professional and appropriate demeanor.
  • Supporting site Safety Committee and subsequent follow-up actions.

Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge in regulation (OSHA, EPA, NRC, etc.).
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as external stakeholders/agencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks toward timely completion.
  • 3-4 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment with key experiences around EHS programs.
  • Proven success in lead safety position within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Suite proficiency.
  • Ability to effectively train large groups of people on complex subjects.
