Playground Aide Rock Creek Elementary is seeking a dependable, safety-minded individual to serve as a Playground Aide. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, positive, and respectful environment for students during recesses.Responsibilities:Supervise students at recessMonitor playground activities to ensure student safety and appropriate behaviorAssist students in resolving minor conflicts using positive and respectful communicationEnforce school rules and safety procedures consistently and fairlyRemain alert to potential safety concerns and respond quickly and appropriatelyCommunicate concerns or incidents promptly to school administrationEncourage positive student behavior and help create an inclusive school environmentAssist with basic playground organization and equipment monitoringSupport teachers and staff with classroom projects, preparation, and other school-wide tasks during non-recess times as part of a collaborative school team environmentQualifications:Strong commitment to student safety and supervisionAbility to remain calm, attentive, and proactive in busy situationsDependable, punctual, and professionalPositive attitude and ability to work well with children, staff, and familiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsPrior experience working with children is preferred but not requiredThis is an "at will" position that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.
