Laboratory Technician/Courier (Jerome, ID)IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician/Courier position at its facility in Jerome, ID.Ideal candidates will possess the following:A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)Proficiency with data entry and computer applicationsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratoryA valid US driver's license issued at least 5 years prior to the date of hire, with a clean driving record (including, at minimum, no at-fault accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet IEH's motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring.Laboratory Technician/Courier duties include:Media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, sample testing steps (under supervision), compositing using aseptic technique, transcribing results, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule (approximately 5 hours of driving per day), cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transportInventory control, and other duties as assigned.This is a full-time position and will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period.
