Udder Health Systems is a bovine diagnostic laboratory serving the dairy industry across the county. The Lab Tech position in Jerome Milk Quality Lab will assist Lab Analysts in providing the following support:Receive and rack samples (milk, water, towels, bedding, etc.)Data entry of sample informationSample setup; plating prep; plating samplesRestocking field inventory itemsReceive and unpack lab media ordersReceive shipping; unpack and place in inventoryClean freezers, racks, autoclaving in accordance with lab maintenance guidelinesSample pick up up to 6 hours per day (driving company vehicle)Field supply organization and prepKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust have a working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and be familiar with database systemsAbility to work autonomously in a busy lab environmentSome education in life sciences preferred; lab experience preferredThis is a full time position, primarily Monday-Friday, with some weekend work as needed.
