Our client seeks a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance services using Rust with a focus on reliability. The role includes implementation of actor-based and event-driven patterns, microservices architecture, and distributed systems tooling to deliver scalable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Rust with an emphasis on performance and reliability.
• Implement and work with the Actor pattern, leveraging frameworks such as Microsoft Orleans.
• Develop microservices architectures and utilize the Sidecar pattern for service management.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.
• Integrate and work with Dapr for building distributed applications.
• Collaborate with teams to design and implement scalable solutions using EventStoreDB.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
  
  

• Extensive experience in software development with a strong focus on Rust and/or Go.
• Proficiency in C# and experience with the Actor pattern, particularly using Microsoft Orleans.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.
• Familiarity with Dapr and the Sidecar pattern for building distributed systems.
• Experience with EventStoreDB is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
