The City of Twin Falls is looking for a full-time custodian to join our organization. This position will rotate between the Airport, City Hall, and the Public Safety buildings. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work; provide information to supervisors and co-workers by phone, email, or in person; and be in sufficient physical condition to perform the duties of the position and observe proper safety precautions.

Applicants must have a work history which includes strong organization, thoroughness, excellent time management, good decision making and problem solving, teamwork and customer service. The primary duty is to maintain a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe. A snapshot of the duties is below:

• Service, clean, or supply restrooms.                        
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.                                                    
• Dust furniture or equipment.                                    
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors.
• Dispose of trash or waste materials.
• Tracks and orders maintenance supplies.
• Make or coordinate minor repairs or assist with facility tasks.                      
• Provides excellent customer service.      
• Maintains outside walk areas and entries, including sweeping debris and removing snow.

A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Valid driver’s license, one year of custodial or maintenance experience; basic familiarity with various materials, methods and equipment related to cleaning and maintaining public buildings. Final applicants under consideration for the position will undergo a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting, and a background screen which includes professional references.
